Hostels attached with residential public Schools are normally catering to
the needs of rich or upper middle class students for acquiring quality education. For
service class people, rural peasants and poor people, approach to such hostels is a
distant dream for education of their children. Education for boys/girls is also very
essential to such people who live in rural areas and also remote places where proper
education facilities are not available. Without education to children countrymen can't
progress specially who are living in rural areas where our 85% population reside. Rajasthan was under fedual system at the time of Independence. The peasantry was illlitrate, ignorant and poor. Education facilities were available only in big cities or towns. Where residential facilities for the students were great bottleneck as they could not aford costly residential expenditure in cities. There is need of chain of cheap Boarding Houses in cities and towns where these students could reside and study in good schools. During last forty years a large number of students have taken the advantages of these cheap boarding houses. These boarding houses produced present ellite class, executives and educated lot belonging to rural areas and brought about revolutionary changes in attitude and thinking of poor peasantry. These hostels have brought the backward, innocent Society to present aware, competent society. Social backwardness due to age-old customs and orthodox beliefs was contained largely on account of efforts made by these educated youths in rural areas. The enlightenment gained by education has brought about political awareness and our people are now recognised as successful politicians, administrators and managers in society and occupying high constitutional and administrative positions in Govt. and Semi Govt. institutions and have extended helping hand to morden India to reach the heights of reputation among world community. Economically the poor peasantry has improved its status by hard labour and technical know how. Socially depressed class of rural poor has been recognised as strong pressure group and has acquired their legitimate Share in prosperity in the society. Education has brought them good quality of life and prosperity. The future of this class of society is hopefully bright. It is sad that male child is receiving better attention by parents than girls. Girls also deserve for receiving proper share in better up bringing. V.T.M.S.S. with residential set-up is fast coming up with prestigeous and expectations for the noble cause of girl education and their development in pure rural environment at an affordable cost for rural population. Let us inspere that next 10 yrs. will bring a bright and excellent result in the area of girls education and development belonging to poor peasantary of entire Rajasthan with particular reference to western Rajasthan due to dedicated efforts and hard work done by pioneer institutions like V.T.M.S.S. |
