CLASS ACTIVITIES

Veer Tejaji of Nagaur District holds a prominent place amongst the local Deities of Rajastha. Veer Tejaji in his short period of life time performed many deeds of velour, devotion and welfare for the people. Inspired by these works, the pre-eminent persons of the Nagaur District established "Veer Teja Mahila Shikshan Evam Shodh Sansthan" undes the leadership of Shri Bhanwar Singh Dangawas as it was felt to be need of the time. The Institute is situated 7 Km. away from Mundawa of the Nagaur District at the "Tejasthali", the place of  Tejaji.

In July 2000, the Institute established a residential girls school - "Veer Teja Balika Vidhyalaya" in big building constructed in its own land for educational purpose with help and cooperation of the public. The Tejaji's place is a pollution free, free open environment.

The "Tejasthali" place is connected with Nagaur, Mundawa, Merta City road route. Nagaur, Mundawa and Merta City can be reached by rail. The residential Upper Primary Girls School was started from July 2000. The "Karmabai Hostel" is under construction and as such the hostel for the girls has been accommodated in some rooms of the educational building itself. There are separate room for each class in the educational building as per standards laid do Beside this, there are separate rooms for office, teachers, store etc. There is sufficient furniture for the girls according to the level of the classes. There is laboratory also. All the room have have appropriate provision of light and ventilation for air. Electric fans have also been provided in the all rooms.

STANDARD AND COURSES

At present the Girls School has been given recognition up to Upper Primary Standard by the Government of Rajasthan. After obtaining permission from the Education Department of the Government of Rajasthan, classes up to Secondary Standard will be started from 2002-03 session.

Education up to Upper Primary Standard is being imparted as per syllabi prescribed by by the Education Department of Rajasthan Govt. For secondary classes the education will be imparted as per the the syllabus prescribed by the Board of Secondary Education.

At present the medium of instruction is Hindi. If there is demand from students and their guardians for English medium, necessary arrangement will be made for this purpose in next session.

There are qualified trained gents and ladies teachers for the teaching of different subjects as per standards laid down for different subjects in school.

EXTRA COCURRICULAR  ACTIVITIES

Along with education, extra cocurricular activities are arranged and guidance provided for girls for their overall development according to their interest and aptitudes. The Institute provides indoor and outdoor activities for mental and physical fitness.

GAMES AND SPORTSSports, Games, Gymnastics & Yoga are the regular feature of the school calendar. We provide the facilities in various games to develop the qualities of team spirit, sportsmanship and leadership. Courts and fields have been provided in the premises of the "Tejasthali" as per standard laid down for Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Handball, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Badminton and Ring. Indoor games like chess, carom and China-Checker are also provided to girls. There is a 400 meter Track and other Indoor Games facilities and equipments for Gymnastics are also available. Girls actively participate in these games. The girl students took part in the following games and sports during 2001-2002 session:

1. The girl students of the Institute obtained second position in District level Kabaddi Tournament. The best player award of this tournament was won by Ku. Shashikala Choudhary of this Institute.

2. The girl students of the Institute obtained second position in District level Gymnastics competition.

3. Students also participated in District Level Kho-Kho tournament.

4. The girl students of the Institute represented in State Level Athletics' Meet at Kota and participated in 80 meter hurdle, 100 meter, 400 meter and 600 meter races. Girls also took part in Discus throw, High jump and Long jump. In Rural District Level Open Sports Meet, girls of the Institute stood second in Kabddi and five girls were selected for state level. In this meet participants of the Institute achieved Ist position in Discus throw and Ist & IInd position in 100 meter race.

5. It is heartening to note that our gymnastic team secured 1st position in the State level open tournament at Chittor. Studens named Ku. Rukma Siyag was declared best gymnast in Rajasthan state. This year school girls represented in National Open Gymnastic Competition, Hyderabad (Andhra Pradesh) and National Inter School Competition at Gurudaspur (Punjab) representing Rajasthan state.

LITERARY AND CULTURAL ACTIVITIES

The girl students take part in the various literary and cultural activities like writing, elocution, debate, recitation of poems (Kavita path), dance, drama etc. under able guidance of their teachers. Many girls participated in different competitions held during last session organised at District level. Ku. Jeta Galava secured 1st position in Essay Writing Competition. In debate, Ku. Kavita Pachar stood third who spoke in favour the subject, Ku. Sarita Mehariya was second who spoke against the subject. In group singing and group dance, the girls of the Institute stood second in both competitions.

SCHOOL UNIFORM

The uniform has been made compulsory for girl students of the "Veer Teja Balika Vidhyalaya". After collecting actual price of the uniform from the girls, they are provided the prescribed uniform which contains 2 blouse, 2 skirts, 2 sports kit, 2 pair of socks, shoes, full sleeve sweater and scarf.

HOSTEL

At present, the residential accommodation for the girls has been arranged in some rooms of the educational building as the Karmabai Hostel is under construction. It would be ready for occupation the girls by 2002-2003 session. Currently there are 130 girl students in the hostel.

Facilities in the hostel:

1. Wooden beds for sleeping and Table cum almirah.
2. Utensils for taking food.
3. There are cows in the Institution and their milk is provided to the girls.
4. Women cook for preparing food.
5. For small children Leady Attendants (Aayas) to help them (in bathing, combing, dressing and washing)
6. Washer-man (Dhobi) for washing and ironing of clothes, twice in a week.
7. Compulsory medical check up once in a month.
8. In emergency, necessary medical facility is available for taking the ailing girl to Mundawa for checkup and treatment.
9. Facilities of Television, Telephone and Newspapers & Magazines in reading room.
10. Watchman / Security guards (Choukidars) for 24 hours service and barbed wire fencing of the premises.

ADMISSION

Admissions aredone for class I ti IX class. Admission is given on the basis of merit in the previous class passed. Admission is confirmed only after depositing of the fee prescribed for admission, tuition, hostel etc.

FEE

Fee are payable in four installments as per decision of the Managing Committee of the "Veer Teja Mahila Shikshan Evam Shodh Sansthan". Concessions in the fee are applicable as per norms decided by the Managing Committee.
